<p><em>A parish renewal during the month of Our Lady</em><br />
(in preparation for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost)</p>
<p>Our parish retreat is approaching quickly!  We hope that you are planning to attend some or all of the talks and perhaps will have a chance to come to Mass and devotions. <p>We are having a retreat kick-off on Saturday, May 15th with 9:00 am Mass (Solemnity of St. Isidore). Procession following, Blessing of fields, crops, farms, tractors, etc. Blessings after 4:00 pm Mass as well (anyone who would like his farm, orchards etc., blessed, please call the parish office). Drive your tractors to Church!</p>
<p>The retreat talks begin on Sunday, May 16th, after the 11:30 am Mass (Extraordinary Form).  Snacks will be provided for the children of anyone who would like to stay for the first talk which also begins after that Mass.  There will be one adult on hand to supervise the children outside, and any other older children or adults able to help with that would be appreciated.</p>
<p>After the first talk, there will be a potluck, so if you plan to stay, please bring a dish to pass.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>From September 23th to November 1st, our community will be uniting with over 170 other cities across America for the largest and longest pro-life event in history.</p>
<p>40 days for Life is a focused pro-life effort that consists of:
<ul>
<li>40 days of prayer and fasting</p>
<li>40 days of peaceful vigil
<li>40 days of community outreach</ul>
<p>From 7am to 7pm each of these days prayer vigils will be held outside of the Planned Parenthood on 8th street in Traverse city.</p>
<p>Holy Rosary will be providing support for 2 days of the on-site vigil during the 40 days Tuesday October 6 and Saturday October 24. We need 3 people per hour for each of the 12 hour days to pray outside of Planned Parenthood. You may signup on the list at the back of the church or you may contact Leona Flaska. Twice during the school year the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio, hosts a Live-In Weekend.  The 2009 Live-In Weekend is October 22 &#8211; 24.  There is no cost for the weekend, and participants are invited to experience the daily flow of liturgical services and classes, along with the rhythm of seminary  life.
