Have fun finding out at “Loves’ Old Sweet Songs: Laughter and Tears from Bygone Years.” This program of Victorian parlor favorites has charmed audiences in American and England. Judith Wharton, known for her rendition of all styles from Baroque to Broadway, sings; Conrad Donakowski accompanies on the Everett Grand Piano; and “Mr. Interlocutor” Jeremy Mattson spins yarns about art from the Heartland. Come with your family and friends Saturday, September 4th at 7:30 pm to the newly created auditorium in century-old Holy Rosary School on Schomberg Road, 2 1/2 miles north of Cedar. Tickets may be purchased in advance for $10 by calling 228-5429, or at the door for $15. Complimentary childcare available; reception following. Holy Rosary Parish Retreat – May 16-20

(in preparation for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost)

Our parish retreat is approaching quickly! We hope that you are planning to attend some or all of the talks and perhaps will have a chance to come to Mass and devotions. View the Retreat Schedule.

We are having a retreat kick-off on Saturday, May 15th with 9:00 am Mass (Solemnity of St. Isidore). Procession following, Blessing of fields, crops, farms, tractors, etc. Blessings after 4:00 pm Mass as well (anyone who would like his farm, orchards etc., blessed, please call the parish office). Drive your tractors to Church!

The retreat talks begin on Sunday, May 16th, after the 11:30 am Mass (Extraordinary Form). Snacks will be provided for the children of anyone who would like to stay for the first talk which also begins after that Mass. There will be one adult on hand to supervise the children outside, and any other older children or adults able to help with that would be appreciated.

After the first talk, there will be a potluck, so if you plan to stay, please bring a dish to pass.

The purpose of Life Chain is to join hearts in prayer with the Christians in our community and nation Sunday October 4 from 2:30 – 3:30PM. All participants will be silently holding uniform ProLife signs.

We will join together with Christians all over America in quiet prayer with contrite hearts and seek God’s divine mercy and intervention for our nation. Let us invest 1 hour to save a lifetime!

Holy Rosary members will be standing along the parkway in front of the Clinch Park Zoo (bay side) Those wishing to carpool from Cedar please meet at the Cedar Twp. Hall at 1:30 PM.

40 Days for Life from September 23 to November 1

From September 23th to November 1st, our community will be uniting with over 170 other cities across America for the largest and longest pro-life event in history.

40 days for Life is a focused pro-life effort that consists of:

40 days of prayer and fasting
40 days of peaceful vigil
40 days of community outreach

From 7am to 7pm each of these days prayer vigils will be held outside of the Planned Parenthood on 8th street in Traverse city.

Holy Rosary will be providing support for 2 days of the on-site vigil during the 40 days Tuesday October 6 and Saturday October 24. We need 3 people per hour for each of the 12 hour days to pray outside of Planned Parenthood. You may signup on the list at the back of the church or you may contact Leona Flaska. One Day Spiritual Retreat at Holy Rosary

Holy Rosary Catholic Church is hosting a One Day Spiritual Retreat at Holy Rosary on Saturday, July 11th from 7:45 AM to Noon. Father Matthew Hincks from the Order of Canons Regular of the Holy Cross (www.opusangelorum.org) will lead the retreat.
